Who matters more...?

I’m asking because it’s a constant battle with my husband and me. I’m not going to say what side I’m on. 
Honestly, there should be no rankings, but apparently there is and for the hell of it I made this poll.

My parents mean a lot to me and I wouldn’t turn my back on them for anyone. But I do think once you get married, initial priorities shift to that family. But I wouldn’t be with someone who disrespected or even didn’t like my parents.

I feel that they are equally important. They are completely different relationships you can’t compare the two.

I think both are equal, but completely different types of relationships. Your parents brought you into this world, raised you and love you unconditionally pretty much automatically, but they are not life partners. You are meant to grow physically farther away from them, but can still maintain a close relationship. Also, as morbid as this is, you will outlive them by quite a bit hopefully, thus not growing with them for an extended period of time. A spouse, to me, is different as you're growing with them, growing physically closer together as well, they are life partners. I don't necessarily think a spouse's love is always unconditional. Just how I view it!
