Back dimple piercings?

I want to get my back dimples pierced but can I still get it if I don’t have back dimples or they’re very very faint? Also how bad is the pain? Any tips or advice is appreciated! 😊

I got the back of my neck pierced in college. Although  cute, these kind of piecings reject. Its painful. So I would say how much do you wanna risk. Some people are fine. Others end up havingnit removed. So.

I had them done and they stayed for 6 years. One finally rejected during my pregnancy bc of the changes in my body. The piercing process was very painful but like I said it was 6 years ago so the piercing process was different. I think if they use a “dermal punch” to make the hole for the anchor it’s a lot quicker and more tolerable. If I could do it again I probably would I think they’re super cute!

I didn’t get my back dimples but rather the back of my hips pierced. I’ve got a pretty good tolerance to pain and it just felt like a pinch when my dermals were inserted.

It they try piercing and not placing a dermal run away as fast as you can lol
Places like this a bar will 100% reject, it might take time but it will happen and it will be gross. Yes dermal can reflect but that’s not likely for you are taking proper care of them and not getting them snagged and pulled constantly. 
Also definitely rethink getting them if you don’t have someone that will help you clean them every day because you won’t be able to do a good enough job since they will be on your back and hard to reach

So the type you want is called a dermal. You can get them even without actually having back dimples. Yes, it will hurt considering the procedure involves placing an anchor under a layer of skin (the dermis) but it'll depend on your pain tolerance. (I don't have them done so I have no advice) but remember, if you sit back on a chair or couch or lay on your back you'll irritate it and could cause more pain. Maybe I'm a chicken, but wouldn't these be at risk at getting caught on everything?? Especially pants? I'm also squeamish about belly button piercings so maybe it's me lol 🤷🏻‍♀️
