Toxic shock?
So this week I decided to try out tampons for the first time as I am considering switching to a menstrual cup to save money and the environment and I wanted to get used to putting things up there (as I am a virgin).
I have changed them regularly with the longest I’ve kept one in being about 5 hours and I used a pad at night. Today was my second (much heavier) day, so I changed it every 3/4 hours but all of a sudden I started to get cramps which is normal for me to get on my heavier day. But then they got worse and worse so that I had to leave my friends and go home.
When I got home the pain had gotten much worse than normal so I went to the toilet (I had diarheea which is normal on my second day) as normally I would be ok after I went but this time the pain wasn’t going away even after I’d taken the tampon out. I was in agony until I threw up in the toilet. Then the pain went away but I felt really dizzy for about 30 seconds and really hot.
I’m just about keeping down beans on toast but I’m not sure if it could be toxic shock? Please help!
