Find your angle (snap a dozen pics and look through every ten pics or so)  
Imagine what it is that you want to portray, for example you want to have it be a happy pic? Think happy thoughts.  Hair can be everything so make sure you floof it up before you snap your pic (unless it's already styled super cute that day) and then just had fun with it, it's okay to take bad pictures. No one needs to know ;)

My sunglasses tell my secret. 😂 I angle mine down a little cause I have a big nose and it looks smaller. 😂 I have a lot of ways though. From down a little, to up a little, to right in front of me or to my left and up to get my "good side". 😊

I angle the camera to the side and up a little, if you take a face shot from directly in front your face can tend to make you look heavier than you are, even if you're not heavy at all.
