Negative preg test, was expecting positive

Has anyone taken a pregnancy test few days before their period due and had a complete negative but tested again in a few days or after you missed your period and ended up with a positive?

I’m currently 12 DPO and tested negative this morning, I know I’m not pregnant now but just curious as my and my partner baby danced FOUR TIMES on my peak day! (Tested with clear blue digital) We’ve been trying for a yr and a half with 1 MC so I was starting to think maybe we just have been missing that small ovulation window and have been stressed etc. but I thought we deffinatley had it in the bag this time as we were away on holidays and relaxed and still nothing!

Note- we are going to a fertility specialist in Nov so fingers crossed 🤞
