Blood clots or shedding of lining?

Should I be concern? We went to the doctor yesterday and had a scan saying everything is okay. But i still experience blood clots. No cramping though. Given iv meds to prevent contraction of uterus and progesterone shots as well.

I’n only 5 weeks 3 days so yesterday we did a vaginal ultrasound. Doc says sac is in place and wasnjust advised full bed rest. Cervix is also closed i was told.

This looks like cervical mucus mixed with old blood (because its brown).  Some spotting (bright red or brown) is totally normal in the first trimester. Sometimes it can be from the cervix being irritated (from sex, checks at the doctors office or ultrasounds, etc). Its scary as hell!!!! BUT I hope I reassured you a little that it’s normal.   😘 unless you’re having bright red bleeding and/or period like cramping, try not to worry and enjoy your miracle! ❤️

Not to scare you but i would be concerned it just looks similar to a mucus plug. At least call and tell every detail. Even put the clot in a bag to show doctor. I was told to do that when i too shed some lining. Hope this helps
