So I realized I had a yeast infection this morning and went out to buy Monistat after work. I got the one day treatment with the anti-fungal cream for the itch. The box said it was good for day or night so I went ahead and took it around 6pm to try to get relief fast. I’ve used monistat before, but today when I took it, it really burned. I usually take it at night, so maybe it was because I was still up and moving? Anyway, I had a panty liner on and a lot of the medicine came out on it. Now it’s 11pm and my vagina is numb. Like I can’t feel it at all. Not sure if that’s normal, but at least it doesn’t itch?

Also, the only times I’ve ever had a yeast infection was when I was pregnant. My OB always said to take monistat. I took a test before inserting the medicine just to be sure, and it came out negative, but my period is ten days away. If I do happen to be pregnant, will it harm the baby in any way? I’ve always taken it later on in pregnancy, and not at the beginning.
