Can you be aromatic but want a romantic relationship

Not really or least I guess depends on the reason?
 Aromantic means you do not feel romantic attraction. I suppose with good communication you could still be in a romantic relationship, though the other person would have to be really understanding that you don’t feel romantic attraction.
 
You could potentially want a relationship if you wanted one sexual partner rather than sleeping around. Though that wouldn’t necessarily have to include romantic feelings. It could in a sense just be a fuck buddy or fwb. 
Or maybe just wanting the companionship of another person but in a more platonic way rather than romantically. 
You can however be asexual but feel romantic feelings and desire a romantic relationship even though you do not experience sexual attraction.
