Im scared to get it i hate being sick and i heard it comes with some pretty horrible side effects 🙄😭

My arm hurt for a couple days, that it. Since whooping cough is frequently fatal in infants my temporary discomfort isnt an issue!

It should not make you sick as it is not a live virus. It might make you achey for a couple days, perhaps a headache, but it’s a pretty small percentage of people who experience that reaction. And even for them, it lasts a day or two and that’s that. All I got was a sore upper arm for like a day.

I would describe it as feeling extremely tired and out of it the day after. I felt the same way the last time I got it 😥 Thank God it was just one day.

The nurse who gave me the shot a week ago said, “Your arm’s gonna hurt really bad!” And I was like oh no! But honestly? Wasn’t a big deal at all. Felt like I had a difficult arm workout the day before and nothing more. 
I read online that the trick is to use your arm (the one you get the shot in) a lot, move it around, stretch it. I think that helped me a lot.

That vaccine is inactive which mean no live virus. Your arm will just feel sore.

It doesn’t make you sick or give you any side effects apart from a dead arm from the injection, I couldn’t sleep on my side which they’d put the injection in, it was too sore

Made my arm a little bit sore, but I found that moving it around (aka I went to work where I do a lot of lifting) helped it feel better within a short while, then it was a dime size sore spot for a few days.
