Missed Ovulation

So I’m officially 9 days late. All test were negative. Went to the Dr where they performed yet another urine test (told they don’t give blood tests anymore). Results negative again. Dr suggested that I probably didn’t ovulate last month and that’s the reason for my missed period. Has this ever happened to anyone before if so did you ovulate the following month?
