On what would have been my 8weeks, I got confirmation today of a miscarriage from my doctor. I had started bleeding heavily yesterday and knew. Both my husband and I are devastated. We are working through this and I am focusing on the positive; we can get pregnant. Now, I’m wondering when we can start trying again. Is the bleeding I’m going through considered a period (day 1)? Is it ok to try soon after a miscarriage? Is ovulation typically delayed following a miscarriage?

This is my first pregnancy and miscarriage so I know nothing. :/ Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
