I am the guardian of my 12 year old sister and have been for her entire life. She knows I’m not her bio mom but has introduced me as such because it’s easier than explaining the situation and I’ve always just called her my baby.

I guess the question is what are your thoughts on what I should be calling her? Would you be mad if I had been calling her my baby girl and then when you got to know me found out I was just the guardian of my sibling?

My husband and I have raised her as our daughter and treat her no different than our bio kids.
