Gnats/fruit flies

If I see one more gnat in my house I'm going to pack up the kids and leave for a weekend while we bomb the house. I have tried everything to get rid of the @%!# things. Used fly paper, a water bottle cut in half with apple cider vinegar and plastic wrap on the top with holes to attract and trap them, bowl of apple cider vinegar and dawn to attract and drown them, and bought professional traps from Walmart. I'm keeping all surfaces dry in my house now and putting away any food or dishes left by the sink every night. What in Sam's hell can you do to get rid of these things for good?
