Could acid reflux do this to the back of my throat?

Last night I fell asleep with bad acid reflux. In 9th grade I developed a hiatal hernia which caused me to have acid reflux and I haven’t gotten rid of it... I take a medication + gaviscon every day and night... anyways I took my medication last night before bed and I was having trouble with acid reflux.. I put pillows under my head so I’d be sitting up while sleeping.. I ended up waking up with A TERRIBLE SORE THROAT.. my throat felt burned
