Taking clomid when period doesn't show?

Hi ladies! I am currently on CD 69. It's my first cycle off NuvaRing.

​Doc told me if AF isn't here in two weeks she will send me to a gyno who will put me on something to start ovulation.. 
​
​Firstly: would this be clomid?
​Secondly: has this happened to anyone else?!

you take clomid once your period is here, it brings on ovulation, theres a few medications to bring on a period i took primolut N i think its spelled right, for 10days then AF showed a few days later

It can take quite a bit of time after coming off of birth control for your body to get back to normal. If they decide to jump start things they'll give you Provera and then you should get AF. You won't be prescribed Clomid unless there are signs you aren't ovulating after you've been TTC for a while.
