Should I be forced to go to church?

I don’t want to go. I turn 18 in less than a month. It’s not even that I don’t believe in god I just don’t like going to church because I hate having to sit there and not talk. I also hate when people start screaming. My mom is forcing me to go but I don’t want to and I can’t tell her no :(

When I was forced to go I would usually hide my headphones in my hair and listen to music or just one song for an hour if my mom was looking at me hard 💀 but you should really talk to her, she can’t really force you to attend something you don’t believe in. No matter how hard she tries you’re still going to hate it, and her forcing you is only making you hate it more

OK I just want to point out that it's really not the end of the world to not talk for an hour or so. That to me is not a valid reason to not want to go.
I don't like the screamy, loud churches myself to be honest. I feel that's a bit dramatic and it doesn't seem authentic to me. That would be a better reason not to go to church.
I don't mind the happy clappy churches. The ones they are fun and there's singing and no one is "fainting" and screaming.

Maybe just try talking to her. Me I live in the Bible Belt and I am an Atheist. My family is hardcore christian and I mean everyone aunts uncles grand parents and cousins. I was baptized at 14 but soon after realized I just truly didn’t believe in it. Now don’t get me wrong I still respect others but I expect to be respected to. Like when my family holds hands and pray at meals I just simply get up and act as if I’m getting the food together. It’s not that much of a biggie just talk to your mom, if she is a true Christian she will understand and love you for you regardless. In the Bible it says tho shalt not judge others. Along with love thy enemy.
