Is Anyone’s Toodler still taking a bottle?

My 21 month old eats solid food, but still cries for a bottle at least twice a day. She just doesn’t seem to care for various textures of food yet. I’ve tried everything and her doctor keeps advising I take the bottle away cold turkey.

My LO has a bottle between 3-4am every night like clockwork. She eats fine during the day but I find if we want her to sleep through the night that is the price.

My son is 20 months. I cold turkey took his bottles away at 12 months, I transitioned him from dr. Browns to a tall sippy cup with a rubber nipple (because it was similar to a bottle) , and then the same sippie cup, but with handles and after that he drank out of any sippy cup. It was hard and frustrating, but so worth it. As much as they’ll cry because it’s not a bottle, they’ll eventually give in because they get thirsty🤷🏻‍♀️

My little man eats like a pig, but we have t given up the bedtime bottle, he just goes down so easily and sleeps through the night so we’ll, I can’t so it 🤦🏻‍♀️ on the off chance he wakes up at night, he also gets a bottle, also anytime he is sick/refusing to eat/too cranky to handle 😂 I feel guilty knowing it’s past weaning time, but things are GOOD, and I’m fairly confident he won’t be going into kindergarten with a bottle, so for now, while we’re home, I don’t see the problem 🤷🏻‍♀️

My 20 month old (almost 21) still gets a bottle when she wakes up and when she goes to bed. I am pretty worried about cutting them, especially because getting her to drink milk from a cup during the day is a struggle. Our doctor also advised that we keep them for now since she is on the small side. God only knows it’s just going to get harder to take them away as she gets older.

I got lucky at 17 months, she decided to go to her cabinet (that has so many different kind of sippy cups) and she picks one on her own and since then, she’s been using the one she picked for the bedtime milk. And then no more bottles. I didn’t think that day would come but she did it on her own.

He sleeps through the night great. He gets a sippy cup before bed sometimes he wants it other times he just take a few sips and gives it back to us. He drinks a whole one when he wakes up.
