Would you consider eloping?

I’m conflicted. I wanted to have a destination wedding but when I start planning a wedding I doubt that would be able to happen (short notice for friends and family) so I kind of just want to elope in an island when the time comes. I don’t know. What are your thoughts?

My friend eloped in greece then through a reception 7 months later at home. They told their parents prior though. I think issues come in when it’s a secret elopement

I have considered it if my SO and I ever decide we want to marry. I don’t get along with my dad and he doesn’t speak to his mom, so it would be a good way to get married without involving people we don’t want to see. On the other hand, I have a big Italian family who would probably kill me if I didn’t include them in the festivities lol

I’m the one who wanted to elope, but my man wanted a wedding with his whole family there. We chose a wedding and I’m glad we did. I’m sure I would have loved an elopement just as much if not more. I love the intimacy and romance of it. Plus you save a lot of money eloping!

Yes! After months of planning stressing I woke up one day said fuck this we are eloping lol still doing wedding pictures next summer after this years plans got messed up but the marriage itself is perfect just me and him promising ourselves to one another before job.
