Ultrasound was a week behind what I thought?

Hi team! LMP 7/25. Pos opk 8/8& 8/9, CD 14 & 15. I always had between 14 and 18 days between pos opk and period. had sex both days. Got first ultrasound 9/14 expecting to be around 7 weeks and it only showed a 6w2d baby. Left Office in tears, follow up ultrasound 9/21 to make sure it grew a week a confirm dates. Baby Heart rate was 90. Typing this out is actually making me feel more calm but wondering, is this normal to find dates diff from what you were expecting?

This happened with my sister. They told her she would have conceived October 1, 2017, but she thought it should have been the week before. Her son was born two days after his due date (she went into labor the day before his due date) and he was big, chubby, and had dry skin the way a later baby would have. She’s pretty sure she was right about her due date and they gave her the wrong one because of the early ultrasound. She was also freaking out when all the beginning stuff was happening! But her son is great and healthy!

This has happened to me with my last two pregnancies! Totally normal! I think even though we ovulate when we think we do, sometimes it just takes some time to implant and then all babies grow at a different pace. There are so many factors that come into play when becoming pregnant. Don't stress! My two girls are as healthy as can be! ♥️
