In Laws

Staci.

So my husband and I have a 4 month old baby who was born prematurely but is very healthy and catching up rapidly now. Well for my husband’s birthday (which our baby was 3 months old) we went out of town and my parents offered to watch her for us which we let them because his parents didn’t act even interested in watching her. Plus my parents have only been the ones interesting in learning how to feed her correctly because her bottles have to be mixed a certain way plus you have to hold her a certain way to feed her. Right after she was born, my in laws seemed all about her and were at the NICU constantly but then the new wore off and they hardly come around. What’s crazy to me is they drive right by our house to run into town and we have to chase them down on the weekends to take her to see them. Then when we are there my father in law is the only one interested in spending time with her. As we were leaving, my mother in law was talking about keeping my brother in laws two kids and she was going to ask when they could come down and spend the weekend with them. They live about 30 minutes. I’m not quite sure how to take this. Do they just don’t feel comfortable with my baby or do they just not want to keep her? How would you take it? Thanks for your input!
