Are long distance relationships harder to maintain?

My so and I just moved 300 miles away from each other after seeing each other almost everyday for the past 6 years.. (we’ve been together for 1 of those years) we’re struggling but will it work?

My boyfriend and I have been 13 hours away from each other the entirety of our relationship and have only spent 11 physical days together. It's hard as f*ck but if you truly want it to work out and you truly want to be with each other then you will find and make a way for it to work. We are currently in the processing of discussing who is moving to who and when because life without each other is crappy.

I've lived in the same house as my partner and found it harder than living in 2 different countries from my husband now. It's just who you're with.

If it's the right relationship it will work.   I only live an hour and a half away from him but due to weird schedules I only see him once or twice every few weeks.  It kills both of us, but we make it work.   I'll be moving to his city, maybe even in with him, but it's going to take a bit before I can.

Me and my boyfriend just celebrated our 5 year anniversary and we have spent 2 years living in different states and it's hard but worth it. I believe we argue more when we are apart but when are together it's like nothing matters. If and when we do come together and we have something on our minds we discuss it and talk through it and try to solve it before we leave each other. Never let the communication break down it's your best friend. Keeps you from having too many misunderstandings. At least that's been my experience
