OPK accuracy

How accurate are OPKs?

I understand that it can show a LH surge which is normally indicative of ovulation, but I still may not ovulate this cycle, but, my question is, can I ovulate without a LH surge?

I'm irregular usually and on CD 9 and lots of EWCM cervix high, medium and soft.

Last month I ovulated on CD 29.

Have been doing opk 2x daily since CD 5.
