My parents hate my boyfriend’s guts solely based on the fact his family has less money then ours (they also might be racist cuz he’s black) but he’s one of the most loving, smart, and ambitious people I’ve ever met and I love him more than I’ve ever loved a guy before, they call him a loser and say I’m an idiot and that he’s probably cheating on me (cuz he lives a city away) even though there is 0 evidence or personality traits that I can see that raise red flags on that. They literally make so many assumptions about him even after they’ve talked fo him on the phone themselves. They think he’s an idiot for being currently unemployed (even tho he has amazing job experience from last year alone but left the position because of the manager, and btw my dad hasn’t even ever had a real job soooo... 🤷🏼‍♀️) but I myself am unemployed and were both looking for jobs rn. This upsets me so much because I know my boyfriend would literally give me the world if he could, and he told me next year he wants to take me of a road trip when he gets his new job and him saying stuff like that just makes me so happy cuz it shows he can put others first. But all in all this situation is ridiculous cuz now they are saying they want me to leave cuz I’m dating a loser and want me to dump him (which isn’t happening) on the other hand his family is great and the last time I left after staying over his mom gave me a gift bag of soaps and body sprays and stuff like that. Idk what I should do because there is no getting thru to my parents because they are extremely stubborn and stuck in their own old ways and I really want to move out but since I’m unemployed I can’t just move into an apartment if I get kicked out but at least my boyfriends family will take me in.
