Expect a lot of blood work. A lot. Pricking, poking, “Does this hurt?” I’ve been to many, and I’m only 16. Questions and I recommend writing down any questions you have for him/her that you might forget during the appointment. Don’t think any question is too silly. They might put you on a medication for it and recommend you see a kidney, heart, lung, etc specialist.

Thank you, I hope you are too. There’s so many young people with autoimmune diseases no one knows cares to learn about.

I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I'm 17 and I have an autoimmune disease that affects my kidneys. I felt like I'd never meet someone as young as me dealing with all of this, so it's comforting to see I'm not the only one. I hope you're okay❤️

I have Multiple Sclerosis. I used to take Gilenya which is a pill instead of a shot. It works really well for me. Expect bloodwork and MRI’s. I get MRI’s with contrast so there’s another needle. I don’t take Gilenya anymore because I’m 4 weeks pregnant. Best of luck to you, be brave and live in the moment ❤️

And yes shots shots shots, and as for me I don't like needles but have to take my enbrel twice a week and I work.....

It depends on what they tested for? They run multiple test. I have lupus and it was a long battle
