Boyfriends 21st birthday

In October it’ll be my boyfriends 21st birthday. He keeps saying that he doesn’t understand why it’s such a “big birthday” and he isn’t really that bothered about it and that no one should make a fuss.

But for a month now I’ve been planning what to buy him coz I’m on a tight budget and imma try my best to get him something he will really love.

The only thing he had asked for is what kind of cake he wants me and his mum to bake for him.

Help what do I do? Do I talk him into going to the local pub? Or going down town? Or just having a few people over at the house?
