Can someone explain this to me

I take this test

And right away I “see” the line so I take pictures in really bright light look through all the pictures before commenting please

But I can’t really get a good pic so I take it in not so bright light

Then I put my ring around it

How did it make that big of a difference?

Can someone please comment
