Bed time?😂

Question

How on earth I’m I supposed to assign my 3 1/2 month old a “bedtime?!?”
She takes 3-4 naps a day and mostly sleeps through the night. What time she falls asleep is entirely up to her 
I keep reading things like, “we take a bath, read a book and nurse then it’s lights out every night at 8pm”  “ no naps after 5pm” 
BITCH HOW? 
So I guess my question here is, bitch how!?

It’s an urban legend for some kids...that or they missed the memo.
For my older kids, I had to write down sleep times to see a pattern emerge.  They actually kind of had a schedule but nap starts would vary by up to an hour.
For us, baths were early - like 5:30/6 pm because they got their longest chunk of sleep starting around 6:30-7:30.

I’m cracking up 😂😂 my baby always falls asleep between 8-9 and stays asleep anywhere between 5-7 hours so I just call that her bedtime 🤷🏽‍♀️😂 but we definitely do not have a routine at 4 and a half months 🤔

I’ve tried some of these methods and was met with angry purple screaming and hyperventilating. She really has no linear schedule.
An HOUR LONG nap during the day? She naps for like 8 minutes tops. 
Sometimes she doesn’t want a “full feed” she’ll just play with the nipple I’ll put it away and a half an hour later she’ll want more 
No nap after 6pm? No no. Her lips turned blue with furry. She is down anytime between 8:30 and 10:15pm only wakes up for one feeding at 3am and goes back to sleep until 7:30- 8am. She is so drowsy during the night feeding she ALWAYs falls asleep.

My daughter doesn’t have a set routine, she naps during the day when she is tired and wants her milk when she’s hungry. 
I try and have her in her bed between 8 & 9 , it all depends on her really.

I say let baby direct a time..that’s what I did...I noticed a pattern with him, he would take a really quick and shitty 4pm nap then ready to go to bed at 6! Yes I know 6!! But he likes it...and he sleeps the whole night EBF...just watch over the next few nights and if you want LO to sleep at a certain time just restrict naps until then...keep that baby up! But be consistent...I do tummy time always around 5 to really get him tired...then out he goes an hour or so later

I’m a SAHM so honestly I let her set the schedule. She eats every 1-2 hours and naps for 30 minutes-1 hour with 2 hours between. She falls asleep at about 10:30 pm and wake up at 9am but feeds throughout the night (ebf) It works for us though and she’s a happy baby🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ve thought the same thing. I did notice that my daughter is really fussy in the evenings around 6. So I try to have her last feed between 6 to 630. She’s been wanting to go to bed between 7-730. So for the last week or so we’ve been doing that. Basically letting her lead the bedtime since it’s what she seems to want. She doesn’t sleep through the night even though the doctor thinks she should be able to since she’s getting enough food and she’s 21lbs. But she will sleep a good 5 hours. I know this is controversial but I’ll be having to sleep train her soon since she won’t go to sleep without my help. I’ve also started back at work 3 weeks ago and I feel like that has really disrupted she sleep in the morning. She’ll wake up if I’m up. I wake up anywhere between 2 am to 5 am for work. So it’s kind of exhausting for my husband how has to take care of her til he goes to work.

We didn’t have a predictable schedule until 2-3 weeks ago, but our girl, that will be 4 months Sunday, has fallen into a routine that works for her, so bedtime is now pretty set. She naps from 7-9 ish, 11-1 ish, and 3-4 ish every day, and is always ready for bed between 6:30-7. She gets a diaper change and dream bottle (she rarely wakes up fully) about 9:30. Then she wakes at 5 ish for a bottle and stays up till her first nap. At this point they are ready to get into a predictable schedule, And it is very good for them. Just sets the stage for future good sleep habits.

My baby is always fussy in the evenings, and we're both much happier when he goes to bed early. Before I was letting him go to bed whenever, but I noticed his last "nap" was probably more when he needed to start bedtime. We give a bath, although only use soap twice a week so usually it's more like a baby hot tub for relaxing. Then fresh jammies and diaper, and we'll feed him a full bottle of breast milk. He's pretty drowsy by the time we're done, so we set him down in the crib and he'll thrash around for a few minutes before settling. He's in bed around 8 and sleeps until 3-4 for a night feed and then back to sleep until 7. Good luck!

try following this ! will be hard for few days but we managed it with a tweek or 2 and she near enough sleeps at same times if i dont moss the cue ! and now sleep thru since following it xx good luck
