Wondering what this could be?

So today is Wednesday on Tuesday I did a self check noticed I had cloudy stretchy cm then later I checked again noticed I was spotting I stopped spotting this morning and it's Wednesday I also had very mild cramping with it my cervix is high kind of firm barely any cm my period is due in five days does anyone know what that could have been or may of experienced this as well? Last Monday I had an ultrasound done due to my period last month as it wasn't normal they think I may of had an early miscarriage but this month seems so different I usually can have symptoms of my period coming a week before this month I didn't I'm so confused ...
