Hungry After Salad?
Hey ladies, so I’m having some trouble with not feeling satisfied after eating my salad. I bring a 1 quart bowl of freshly made salad everyday for lunch, it consists of: 1-2 cups of spinach and kale, 1/4 sliced cucumber, 2-3 sliced celery stalks, 12-15 grape tomatoes, 1/4 sliced green and red peppers, 4-5 sliced baby carrots about 1/2 a cup of broccoli, and 2tbs. of flaxseeds. I usually bring a handful of multi-grain flaxseed chips and an apple or bag of grapes for a snack afterwards, however, I still feel hungry afterwards! This causes me to usually come home or go out and pig out on foods that don’t help me nourish my body. By the way, I’m not trying to loose weight, only tone and gain muscle, so I’m definitely looking for protein rich, fueling foods, I haven’t had time to do much in the way of working out because I’m flooded with school work, so eating high sodium, junk foods hasn’t been the best when I go to pig out. Any ideas of how to make salads more fulfilling? Also, does anyone have any other lunch recipes that I could take with me? I appreciate it, thank you!
