Cervical length?

When I went in for a ultrasound due to growth problems I noticed the tech was really focusing more on my cervix and I saw it was 2.4 cm is this a concerning thing during pregnancy this is my second pregnancy and I never had this problem with my first pregnancy. I was 31 weeks when I got the ultrasound

How far along are you? I assume you are over 28 weeks. I had to get a cerclage stitch put in and started taking progesterone at 21 weeks because my cervix was shortening to early. They stopped checking the length after 28 weeks because it's unpredictable after that. You can be on the shorter side and last awhile or vice versa. As long as you're not opening up you should be fine. 
Also I lengthened back after the cerclage and progesterone to 2.5 cm and they were happy with that.
