Who will be in the delivery room?

This entire pregnancy I planned to have my husband and my mother in the delivery room. Out of no where my husband says he doesn’t want anyone in the room and that’s a moment for us only. I’m a little annoyed because I just don’t feel like he can tell me my mother can’t be in the room. Then he proceeds to say that if my mother is there, his mother can also be in the room.

What? I’m sorry NO! How is this even an argument right now?

I told him the day my dad watches him naked then he can tell me whatever he wants.

Anyone having this debate?! 🙄

No! Not having this debate and neither should you! You are having this baby! Not him. I’m usually all about compromise but your husband is being completely unreasonable! 
If you want your mom in the room for comfort or for whatever other reason you have the right to choose that because YOU are going to be the one pushing this baby out... NOT HIM! And if you don’t feel comfortable having his mom in the room then you should be able to make that decision! HE is there as a support person, not to make demands! Your comfort should be his #1 concern because you need to be in a relaxed state and not worrying about any of this stuff because your body is going to be going through a traumatic event.
I can understand his mom wanting to be in there, however, as a woman who has had a child, she should understand and honor what makes you comfortable.
Maybe in an effort to compromise you can say she can come in intermittently during labor but when the baby is coming out you want her out and she can be the first one back in to see the baby. 
I’m so sorry this is even a discussion for you, and that he’s being so selfish about it, I’m sure he’s a great guy but this is CLEARLY NOT his finest hour.

I agree with the others! YOU are the one going through the most intense experience of your life and YOU are the one who will feel the pain and have to powerfully bring that baby into the world so it’s YOU who gets to decide who is and isn’t in that room.   When your husband pushes a watermelon out of his asshole someday, he can make the call.

It’s your body on display. I only want my husband in there (and my sister Bc she’s a nurse and has helped deliver a million Babies), but whatever makes you feel comfortable is what should happen. Tell him when he takes a huge dump with your mom, his mom and a bunch of doctors all watching and cheering him on, then he has a say. Until then... shhh 🤫

I was like that and with my first I had my husband mum and grandma.. this time I’m having my husband mum and mother in law.. when I gave birth for the first time I thought I’d care but I didn’t even care who was there I just wanted the baby out lol so this time I’m having my mother in law along with hubby and mum.. I know my mother in law will be by my head with my mum and husband so should be good

It's only going to be me and my husband. In fact if it wasn't for the fact that I'm going to need someone to watch my daughter I wouldn't tell anyone I'm even in labor. But my family got no limits 🙄 my cousin literally was calling the hospital trying to find out info and what room I was in... I get this is a special time for your husband. He is about to become a father, but your the one giving birth and if having your mom there will make you feel better then so be it.

I agree with your husband. I feel like the moment you bring life into the world, is the moment your family is created. Not your family with your parents, but this beautiful new family unit of you, your husband and your baby. It's special and I wouldn't want to share that moment with anyone else.
