How many ladies plan to breastfeed?

I had a hard time with my first and still can’t decide wether I should try again.

I know this is s not long, but I wanted to share my experience with all of you...
It’s hard no matter if it is your first or not. However, I learned A LOT from breastfeeding my first daughter. What to do and what not to do. I only breast fed my first for 4 months because I had no idea what I was doing. I literally beat myself up for months after deciding to stop breast feeding her. 
So I was super determined to breast feed my second daughter and I wasn’t going to let anything stop me. I had nurses in my hospital telling me my daughter needed formula. I had pediatricians tell me my breast milk wasn’t good enough and to supplement with formula. I refused and was pretty upset and appalled that so many medical professionals were telling me to formula feed. I said screw you to all of them... I am going to breast feed my daughter whether they liked it or not. She was tiny when born and lost a lot of weight and became jaundice. So I pumped and kept track of how much she was eating, which was more than enough. Doctors still weren’t satisfied. But I knew that my daughter was just a peanut and growing at her own pace and breastfeeding her was the better choice.
My initial goal was to breast feed up to 6 months and then 6 months came and went and then 9 months and before I knew it... my little peanut was one year old. I successfully and exclusively breast her for an entire year! Breastfeeding is no walk in the park. It’s tough and it takes a lot of time and dedication. It is REALLY tough in the beginning, but I want to let all you mamas know that it gets better and easier with time. Don’t give up! Use nipple shields and lanolin cream in the beginning. They helped me when my nipples became so sore I wanted to give up. 
Now that my third and only son will be here in 7 short weeks I am still one determined mama. I’m not going to lie and say I look forward to the first few weeks of breastfeeding, but I will breast feed my son regardless of people telling me I should do otherwise.

I had the hardest time with my first. It was literally one of the hardest most stressful things I’ve ever tried to do. The stress of it took away a little bit of the joy of having a newborn. This time I decided I’m not going to breastfeed and put myself through that again. To each their own but I’m choosing not too.

Yes, it it works out well. If not, then I’m not gonna force it. My mom didn’t produce enough milk so I had to be put on a bottle when I was one month old and I was a healthy child. I didn’t get sick more often than breastfed babies, neither as a baby nor later in life. I also believe in “fed is best”.

I am definitely going to try with this baby. My first two I tried for six weeks and it never worked out. My third latched on immediately and it was so easy so I’m hoping this one will be the same

I had a hard time with my first also. my milk never completely came in. one side barely had any milk and the other did but wasnt doing the best as it was. she was always pooping foam. which some people told me was normal but her but was always getting raw from it so after a month I completely switched her to formula and was so much happier. I'm planning on trying with this one anyway and we will see where it goes :)

I’ll try! But if it doesn’t work or it’s really hard work then I’ll switch to formula. I’d rather enjoy my baby and our time together than worry and stress about breast feeding if it isn’t happening x

My SIL had a hard time with her first and second, but her third took to it perfectly! Taught me that each baby and experience is different. I breastfed my first and it was lovely not having to worry about making a bottle or cleaning one. Very easy!

Every baby is different and! This baby may be easier or you body may respond better! I know people who couldn’t breastfeed one child but was able to breastfeed their next!

I bf my first for two years and for some reason it ruined it for me. I literally cringe at the thought of it like I wanna throw up. I think because the last two months I was pregnant and sensitive. Idk if I’ll be able to do it again, I’m really hoping this feeling goes away when I see my baby.
