Can coffee raise your blood pressure?

Yes. Caffeine spikes your blood pressure. I’m not sure how long it takes for it to go down, but it is recommended to not take your blood pressure until at least 30 minutes after eating or drinking anything.

If you already have blood pressure issues, it can temporarily. But so can eating in general. Or drinking anything hot. Or walking up stairs. What matters is your blood pressure staying high over a long period, not spiking temporarily because of something you're doing or eating.

Let talk about coffee. I love coffee 😍
It makes me personable. I stopped drinking coffee thinking my blood pressure would go down. It didn’t. 
Lots of factors though, I’m heavy, etc. 
the short answer is yes, but not consistently. It’s a small increase for the first cup but your bp levels back out after that.
That’s only if you’re not a regular coffee drinker; people who drink coffee every day do not get that initial raise in bp. Which, for me, is why stopping didn’t help. It wasn’t really affecting my bp.

I wouldn’t think so. I have been drinking a 10 oz cup of coffee everyday of my pregnancy and I’m now at 38 weeks 5 days and only had them tell me my blood pressure was high twice and that was towards the end at 35 week checkup and 37 week check up. However it was only elevated slightly.

Yes. It’s also a diuretic which means you will be less hydrated and need to drink more water!!
