Benefits of breastfeeding??!

Could you ladies tell me the pros and cons of both breastfeeding and formula??

Breastfeeding was easy in the sense it was always ready to go and I knew it helped my babe though colds and stuff. Any time he got hurt it would soothe him instantly as he got to walking and what not. There is less risk since it’s not produced in a factory. They poop less breastfeeding and it’s usually less stinky. I could write a huge list,  but google the benefits of breastfeeding and you will see some good ones. 
Formula has its pros if you need it , I did with my first. It’s crazy expensive and constipation was always an issue, plus it doesn’t keep as good as expressing breast milk.
I am very pro breastfeeding if you can because I loved it when I could do it. It really comes down to what’s healthiest for your baby and what makes you happy? 
Hopefully those are helpful I know I’m a tad biased through my experiences.. everyone is different though so whatever is best. I hope you have a wonderful journey!

Breast feeding: baby gets fed
Formula: baby gets fed
Either way it’s a win win. 
Obvious pros with breast feeding are it’s cheaper, good baby comforter, and you pass on antibodies and proteins etc not found in formula.
Formulas pros anyone can feed the baby (if you’re not pumping your own into bottles. Some babies will only do bottle or boob, not both) and most formulas are fortified with vitamins and minerals and most cases contain more vitamin D than breast milk. Depends on the mother’s diet.
Either way it’s what works for you. As long as there baby is fed I don’t think anyone should care how it’s done

A major benefit of breastfeeding in my experience - my husband, several family members and friends who had all attended the same get together as us had a terrible very contagious stomach bug when my baby was only 3 weeks old and because I was breastfeeding she was protected by antibodies my body produced in the breastmilk and didn’t become unwell, if she was formula fed she would likely have caught the bug and been quite poorly

Well breastmilk has tons of nutritional 'benefits'  that formula can't replicate (although formula is still a great choice) but it *can be* so much easier too. I never used a cover,  rarely had to pump and use bottles, so when my daughter needed to eat or be comforted I literally just had to pull my shirt up and i wore a tank underneath that i pulled down to make a boob opening 😂 no washing bottles or packing supplies. 
However,  that's if your milk comes and stays in. Breastfeeding is different for everyone so it might not be easy peasy. Some women have extreme pain, mastitis, and latch issues... or work that isn't pump friendly, or whatever, it's really about your lifestyle and body and baby... but for me, breastfeeding was so convenient and also cheaper ;)

Pros for breastfeeding: don’t need to pack a bottle when you leave the house, you get baby snuggles
Cons for breastfeeding: pumping is annoying but we do it anyway, no one else can feed the baby unless you pump, baby wants to hang on you allllll the time 
Pros for formula: don’t need to stress about not having enough food, everyone can feed the baby
Cons for formula: you always have to pack bottles/formula/water, costs money
I breastfed and pumped for 13 months and had to start supplementing with formula at 6 months due to a low supply. It essentially all sucks lol but I did love snuggling with my daughter during our feedings. Like everyone said, as long as baby is fed. 😊

I formula feed my son, and would've breastfed him but i had so many problems with that. Because i haven't breastfed i can't advise on that, but with formula i have never had a problem with my baby being constipated, i love the fact that my partner can take over and feed him and do night feeds and things are more equal. And i found a lot of my friends who are breastfeeding struggle to get their LO to settle with anyone else other than them, and they get a bit emotionally drained. For example, my friend had to come home early from the gym as her baby didn't want to be with her dad and screamed for 2 hours. I dunno- honestly, and I'm not slagging off breastfeeding. I Just like the fact my baby can be with his dad all day if i wanted to go out. Lol 
Cons- expensive, so much bottle washing all the time! Having to carry around a bag full of stuff. Also, my baby isn't chubby and doesn't have cute rolls like breastfed babies do! 
Try to breastfeed, and if it works for you then amazing! If it doesn't,  formula has it's advantages too :) or you could always do a mix. Good luck x
