This is my second baby. First baby, I had contractions every 10 minutes for 10 days before I progressed enough to go to the hospital in active labor. And it was hell.

Now, I’ve been having contractions every 5 minutes for 13 hours and I’m not dilated at all. They confirmed contractions on the monitor this morning. But I’m upset that my body is not progressing. All the doctor said when she checked me was “Nothing yet, but there’s definitely a baby head there.” I’m really hoping this goes faster than it did for me the first time and that the cervical check will help get things started some. 😩
