Do video games influence mass shootings?

So my fiancé and I had a discussion about this the other night..... I’m not sure if this topic has been brought up recently or not. With all the school shootings and mass shooting recently, do you feel that video games have caused them or influenced the shooter? I personally feel that the live shooter games have a negative impact on children that already have development problems. My fiancé thinks that it’s solely the parents problem, not the video game. What are your thoughts?

EDIT: I am asking if you guys think that video games INFLUENCE shootings in those that are mentally ill. Not if video games itself cause people to shoot others. I watch crime shows and my fiancé plays video games, and we don’t plan on shooting anyone. I am asking if it affects those that are unstable in a negative connotation.
