Anyone else planning a home birth??

I had a home birth with my four year old son and really want to do it again. Where I live it's not very common and I don't know anyone else who has!!

I'm planning a home water birth and I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. I know it's not for everyone, which I totally understand and respect, but my husband and I are totally on board. I also have a low risk pregnancy and I believe that birth is a natural process that doesn't necessitate medical interventions (for the most part). I know giving birth at home allows me the freedom to choose what I want for me and my baby and I won't have to battle the medical staff during my delivery. That being said, we do have back up plans if any emergent or non-emergent  transportation is needed.

I have had one and am planning another this time around.

I love it. I did tons of research so I knew I was statistically safer at home with a low risk pregnancy. But I also felt safer and so much more relaxed at home. It was my favorite by far!!

I'm 11w3d and I am considering a home birth. I am set up to give birth at a water birth center but have been thinking of switching to a home birth (in a tub) with the same midwife I'd have in the birthing center. :) It's totally up to you though. Wherever you think you'll be happy and comfortable to give birth be there!
