Prenatal vitamins

M • Happily married. Girl mom 💗💗💗

Hi. So I was given a prescription from my doctor for prenatal vitamins. It contains 1mg of folic acid which is equivalent to 1000mcg.

I keep reading that taking over 800mcg isn’t good? And should I be taking folate instead ? Those vitamins are free for me but if that’s too high or if I need folate instead then I’ll pay out of pocket. I’m 40 going through a missed miscarriage and will be ttc soon after.
