Wait longer??

My hubby and I have been TTC for about a year and a half. I'm 8 days late have taken 2 HPT (day 4 and today) and they were both Negative! My AF is never early or later, always been on time maybe give or take one day either way. Any suggestions?? Any other test I should take? Wait a few more days?
