Is daily sex hurting my chances of conceiving?

Hi we’ve been not trying not preventing for about 9 months now. Just starting getting more serious about it this cycle. We pretty much have sex everyday. My ob/gyn said we should be having intercourse every other day in my fertile window because sperm takes 24-36 hours to mature and can get caught in my cervix if it’s too immature. I’ve looked on the internet and this seems to be outdated information. A lot of research suggests the opposite. I know if my husband has any issues with his sperm every other day intercourse is best. He hasn’t been tested so I’m not sure what we are working with. Just wondering if anyone else has conceived with daily intercourse. I’m 39 and my husband is 43. Thanks!
