Ovulation test high yesterday and low today

So Sunday I finally got a positive ovulation test you know with the little smiley face saying this is the time to try. But then this am  Monday it was an empty circle saying low. Is that normal? We have been trying for 6 months. We had sex last night and used pre-seed. Need some advice. I'm new to all this.
