So we have a blended family. My boyfriend has a 14 yo daughter and we found out this week that I’m pregnant. I’m not sure if she has caught on yet, we’ve been to the library and she’s seen me looking at pregnancy books and him and I have let some hints slip, but she may just think we’re still trying. We told her some months back when we decided to go off birth control and she was really excited! She has an older half sister from her mom and has always been the younger sibling so I think she’s excited to have a younger sibling of her own finally. I’m only about 6 weeks though so I don’t want to tell her too early and something possibly happen and then have to explain a miscarriage to her, but I think she’s already noticed my moodiness and my being emotional. So my question is when do you think it would be a good time to tell her? Also, I really want her to feel involved and really solidify us all as a family so I want to do something special to tell her. I’m seen a lot of “big sister” shirts, but I think that might seem kinda cheesy for a 14 yo, so I’m really looking for ideas on how to tell her! Thanks in advance!
