What’s your birth plan?

What are you October mamas planning as far as birth goes?
With my first I really wanted to go unmedicated but I ended up having a labor that lasted around 30 hours and had to have Pitocin because my water had been ruptured for almost 24hrs so I opted for an epidural. At that point I was very thankful for it because the amount of Pitocin they gave me was so awful and unbearable. 
This time around I’m really hoping to go unmedicated but I’m also a go with the flow kinda girl so I’m making sure my heart isn’t set on this “plan”. 
What are your birth plans?

Unmedicated. however if the pain is unbearable then I have an open mind about an epidural. I'm hoping I can bare it!

I’m planning all natural. I’ve been listening to hypnobirthing and everything makes so much sense the way it’s explained...
We are all told that labor isn’t supposed to be easy and it’s going to hurt very bad. We are all taught to fear labor and delivery. When our body’s release oxytocin to start labor we are generally relaxed and calm and as soon as we realize that this is labor pains we get scared and our body produces adrenaline to prepare us for fight or flight. We can’t exactly run away from labor so our bodies only option is to fight it. So your body is trying to contract and push baby out but the adrenaline and fear we have are trying to stop it because of the pain, and our body is fighting itself through the whole process making everything waaayy more painful! 
It’s all entirely mindset and if we can relax and breath and work with our bodies there really shouldn’t be pain just strong sensation. Our bodies 100% know how and are designed to do this we just need to trust and give in to labor. Not fear and fight it. 
I’m actually excited for my birth I completely believe I can do it unmedicated. I just cannot wait to meet this precious little girl💕
(As long as no intervention is necessary- I know pitocin can cause very painful labor so we will see what happens if I have to be induced for some reason )

I really wanna try unmedicated but I’m scared for labor to be long, just like you said you experienced. 30 hours of contractions? That’s torture. If I have a fast labor and say when I get to the hospital I’m around 4-5 CM, I won’t get an epidural. I’ll push him out naturally

With my first It was unmedicated there was a point i thought about an epidural but I dialated to quickly. With this one I want to try it again unmediated but if for some reason it becomes unbearable I'll get an epidural hopefully I labor just as fast as the first one it was 4 hours start to finish and I only pushed for 4 minutes.

Third baby, first induction, third epidural unless  for some reason I am unable to get one in time 👍 I wait until the contractions are unbearable though, usually after my water breaks. I've also never had my water break on it's own 🤷

Wanted to go unmedicated, but unfortunately was told that I should highly consider getting an epidural due to having two placentas 🤷🏻‍♀️ They predict my babies cord will detach when she comes out and will have to go in and get the placentas out. From the sound of it...epidural just sounds like a more comfortable solution for me.

I am going in with the mind set unmediated like my first I defo really don't want a epi so if worse comes to worse gas and air but I suppose jusr depends on how the Labour progresses really but as I stand now unmediated

I’ve had two pitocin induced labors and got an epidural both times (epidural was always in my birth plan)
My last labor I didn’t get the epidural until 7cm and it only took to half my body until the anesthesiologist came back at 9cm and fixed it right before pushing. Honestly, I probably could have done without it, but I wasn’t mentally prepared to feel myself pushing the baby out. 
This time I’m going to try and go all natural but keep an open mind. I can handle pitocin contractions well (which I’ve heard are worse) and that’s all I know so I imagine if my body will go into labor on it’s own, that I’ll be okay.
