What is everyone buying for baby?

I’m 26 weeks now and I haven’t bought anything. My sister in law was surprised when I said that but I don’t plan on buying anything until about 32 weeks. Is this too late? Also what are newborn essentials I need to buy?

Oh my gosh how?!? I had a mad panic around 22 weeks that I didn’t have anything really, since then I’ve bought everything. I’m 28 weeks now! I still need the soaps, a couple more towels and a couple extra clothing bits I want. But otherwise we are all set!!

I’m not buying much until after my baby shower. It sounds spoiled but why spend your own money on things other people may buy you. The furniture, clothes, and toys we do have were already gifted to us. I think my husband and I have bought maybe 5 outfits total.

I bought all the main items at 22 weeks. Such as pram, car seat, isofix base, next to me dream, not having a Moses basket for downstairs so went with a chicco 4-1, bath, monitors, bottles, wipes, prep machine, sleep bags/swaddles, Wardbrobe, changing unit, cot/mattress. We don’t no the gender so only bought a few neutral items that will do until baby is here. Just need to sort out both r hospital bags but won’t do that for another few weeks. And going to hold off on bulk buying on the nappies il buy a few newborn and size ones as I don’t no how long they will last in them so I can just buy more when baby is here.

I have most of the stuff I’ll need. I didn’t go overboard like a lot of first time moms tend to do. I have a crib, didn’t get a bassinet or a cosleeper. I’ll sleep in the nursery in the beginning because we have a bed in there and my husband can’t be tired for work (he’s a pilot). Someone gifted me a rock n play so I’ll use that during the day. I didn’t buy a swing on top of it since babies grow out of both of those things fast. I have everything for the changing station. I’m cloth diapering, so 30 diapers and cloth wipes have been purchased, as well as ointments, creams, etc. Her bath stuff has been purchased- baby bath, soaps, washcloths. I didn’t get a TON of clothes since I know babies grow fast. She has about 10 outfits in each size up to 9 months that were mostly gifted at the baby shower. Car seat, stroller, and some nursery decorations are on their way. I bought something to baby wear so I can get things done while she naps. A breast pump and nipple cream. Postpartum stuff for myself. Lots of blankets and a few stuffed animals and toys (like a tag blanket) but I plan on limiting toys to developmentally friendly things. Baby books.

I haven’t bought much other than a few second hand things that I have found on Facebook. I will start buying more after my first shower, so I will know what necessities I still need. But that’s not until the 2nd weekend in November and I am due Dec 6 😬 I’m a little nervous about how close that will be, but as long as we have a car seat, place for baby to sleep, a few clothes and diapers we will be fine! 😅

I am about to be 30 weeks and haven’t bought myself anything. I had one baby shower yesterday and got a lot and am waiting for my last one before buying anything (to see what isn’t purchased). Some women nest early and some don’t 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have some clothes and some early baby gifts like bouncers and such. I have people who are buying certain big ticket items that I just haven’t picked yet and the rest I am waiting on the baby shower - I know we will get clothes and their items.  Plus my nephew is only two so I can shop his clothes - plus when your stuff is I purchased from the registry, they give discounts
