You missed the fact that MILS always have something to say you will learn to pick and choose your battles witch is y your husband probably grabbed the socks I'm going threw a similar situation so I pick and choose with the socks I had the same problem until I told her socks on tile and my son don't mix he's slipping all over the place then my husband agreed with me and she said no more. One thing to keep in mind with mil and you're child is that you need an alliance with your husband or else you're off to a gun fight with a knife lol

I would not let my MIL come visit of she tried to tell me what to do with my kids. I've told her before if you have an opinion on how I'm raising my kids; raise your hand then place it over your mouth. Nit picking is just not okay with me

My husband's grandma is the same way... drives me nuts. Makes me feel like I'm not a good mom or something. When in reality, that's not true at all. She's even made me cry a few times with some of her comments. And my husband just laughs at me for getting upset.

My mom is the same way it's just how some people think. Usually mom knows best but sometimes we are wrong. I try to appease my mother to keep from arguing it's not worth the argument trust me.

No, my mom, and both my MIL's,my grandmother, strangers, whoever would come up to me and give me crap about my child wearing socks too. My kid has always disliked them and he has never once complained about them being off. I just told people it was fine and to stop mothering my mothering. Or, because it always immediately happened, I would let them put socks on him and he would immediatly rip them off lol. We have now moved from the sock thing to wearing hats. My kid hates hats too. I promise you it never ends. Lol

I normally don't escalate disagreements with the inlaws. But I feel like she didn't need them. I'm now over here feeling the floor with different parts of my body. Lol The floor is cold. I'm thinking I should have just put the socks on. Which I would have done if she was still a new baby.

I wish I brought up socks are slippery on floors.

If it were a newborn, then yes she would need socks. But a one year old. No, 75 is hot. And if she's walking she could slip so easily.
