I’m due in December and am trying to find out information about getting my baby a child only healthcare plan. My husband and I have a plan through work, but it would cost us over $400/month to add her to the plan. So we are trying to figure out our options for something cheaper. I called the healthcare marketplace this morning, and they were only able to give me information on family plans. They acted like I would need to give birth before I could find out info on a plan for my child only. They couldn’t even give me a quote or estimate. My next plan is to call a specific insurance company, like Anthem or Coventry. I might need to wait until “open enrollment” before I can really find anything out. If anyone has experience with this and has any advice for me, please let me know. Any help or information would be appreciated!
