Is eating lamb less ethical than eating other meat?

🇲🇽

Possible trigger warning—meat consumption.

Young lamb is slaughtered at 6-8 weeks old and spring lamb at 3-5 months. People eat lamb more so than sheep (mutton) because it is more tender and not as gamey. Is it less ethical to eat lamb knowing they are slaughtered so young purely for taste? Maybe other meat is less ethical because they live longer lives in poor conditions? Or is it no different than consuming any other animal?
