Cluster feeding at 18 months, are you kidding me?!

I don't know how many of you are still nursing past a year but we've been cluster feeding ALL DAY. Won't touch his solids or drink anything else. Anyone else?
For those that have weened after 18 months, how did you do it? My guy will not allow it. Scream crying and refusal of anything liquid from a sippy or cup. I'm just losing this battle hard today.

It’s possibly he’s coming down with something or getting teeth. If you’re ok continuing your nursing relationship, try telling him, “in a little bit,” or “after we eat lunch,” etc to redirect him. Around 20m, i started only allowing ds to nurse morning nap and night, and no longer if he wakes up at night. He does cry on occasion but we do our best to redirect him, and sometimes the best thing is for dh to take him to another room or distract him.
