You can get your kid vaccinated and that’d be great.

Why in the hell would you not vaccinate your child? Good luck finding a daycare that’s reputable that will accept them. Most daycares require vaccinations. Unless you plan to live in a bubble and keep your child attached to their umbilical cord till you die, good luck. 👌

My unvaccinated child gets a waiver SUPER simple. You should really educate yourself.

No hospital can force you to do anything, though they may annoy the crap out of you and try to scare you.The only vaccines given at birth would be Vitamin K and Hep B. If you’ve done your research and do not want them administered, just say no and keep baby in your sight at all times. There are much better groups on Facebook that are pro-choice rather than getting attacked here for wanting to make an informed decision. And always keep in mind that sometimes the rudest comments here come from people who have done zero research. Best of luck to you 🤗

My mom had me at home with a midwife and opted against vaccinating me due to a the months of research she had done and the fact that my father had a severe reaction to a vaccine and nearly died when he was a child. In the hospital you’re likely going to have a lot of pressure to vaccinate, you’re going to have doctors and nurses talking down to you and you’re more than likely going to feel like they will not take you seriously.Stand your ground and read EVERY slip of paper they push at you to sign. Do not sign anything you are uncomfortable with, period. They cannot turn you away for not signing something or for declining vaccines. My mother’s fb friend recently shared a story where she ended up telling her doctor to leave while she was in the process of pushing because he was ignoring her requests, and she and her husband delivered her baby themselves.

A safety study on vaccines hasn’t been done in the US in over 30 years. maybe you should do some more research on the safety and efficacy of vaccines.

I forgot to ask, how much research did YOU do about vaccines at all? Either side? Or did you just maybe read a pamphlet or two and just blindly trust your doctor?

Yeah, my mom spent about 6 months checking out books upon books from various libraries and cross referenced them based on their sources and did research on both sides of the vaccine argument and made a decision based on said research as well as looking into my father’s own history of bad reactions of vaccinations that nearly lead to his death as a child. So she decided not to vaccinate me. Love your nasty tone btw, it’s very helpful to be snide and nasty when someone shares personal experience.

I am avoiding hospitals and doctors all together. My midwife is anti-vaxx and we are doing a home birth to stay away from all that. Hopefully you can find a family practitioner that's okay with your choice.

I forgot to include the part where I'm okay with it being medically neccessary, but most doctors will do interventions that cause more issues than good

That's a completely not what I said. If it is needed of course I would so whatever it took to take care of my baby. If my child is born and needs medical attention we go to the hospital. Transfer rates from home to hospital are very low. There's a 98% chance we will have a perfectly healthy baby

So if god forbid your child is born with a condition that requires immediate medical attention are you going to just heal him/her with magical herbs?

My hospital only encouraged the vitamin k shot, no vaccines. First round of vaccines usually isn't until 2 months. They offered Hep b but said if I didn't want to do it, follow up with pediatrician. Instead of hospital, you'll need to find a pediatrician who will be okay with you not wanting to vaccinate. Many pediatricians require it.
