Preemie baby sleeping

My baby is 5 weeks old, but was born at 33 weeks he eats every 4-5 hours at night, he's gaining weight not quite as much as he should but close but even if i wake him up he'll only nurse for 5 maybe 10 minutes. Is it really worth it to wake him up every 2 hours at night? Or just let him sleep until he's actually hungry?
